Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TG Edit-Pdf (the "Service") available at https://pdf-edit.tech, operated by Taksha Groups ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, you must immediately stop using the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Taksha Groups.

1. Description of Service

TG Edit-Pdf provides free, browser-based tools to merge, split, compress, rotate, convert, watermark, OCR, sign, protect, and otherwise manipulate PDF and related document files ("Tools"). The Service is provided free of charge on an "as-is" basis. Files submitted to the Service are processed transiently as described in our Privacy Policy and are not retained after processing.

The Service includes but is not limited to: PDF merger, splitter, compressor, converter (to/from Word, PowerPoint, images), OCR, watermarking, password protection/removal, signing, page numbering, flattening, resizing, cropping, and annotation tools.

2. Eligibility and Account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and are legally capable of entering into binding contracts. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Your Content — Ownership, Licence, and Responsibility

You retain all ownership and intellectual-property rights in the files you upload or otherwise submit to the Service ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership over Your Content. By submitting Your Content, you grant Taksha Groups a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to process, transmit, and store Your Content solely and exclusively to the extent necessary to provide the specific operation you requested, and for no other purpose.

You are solely and exclusively responsible for Your Content. You represent and warrant that:

  • you own or have the necessary rights, licences, consents, and permissions to submit Your Content and to grant the licence above;
  • Your Content does not and will not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any intellectual-property right, privacy right, publicity right, or any other right of any person or entity;
  • Your Content does not contain any illegal, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or malicious material; and
  • your use of Your Content through the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

We are not responsible for backing up Your Content. You must maintain your own copies of any files you submit. We expressly disclaim all liability for any loss, corruption, or unavailability of Your Content.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree that you will not, and will not attempt to, use the Service to:

  • process any content you do not have the lawful right to use, copy, or distribute;
  • infringe or violate any third party's intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • upload, transmit, or process any malware, viruses, or malicious code of any kind;
  • upload, process, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or otherwise objectionable;
  • upload content containing personal data of third parties without their consent;
  • circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature or access controls;
  • engage in any denial-of-service or other attack that could impair the Service;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service;
  • use automated means (scraping, bots, crawlers) except via the documented API within its published rate limits; or
  • violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, to suspend, block, or terminate access — including by IP address, device, or account — to any user who we reasonably believe has violated these Terms or who poses a risk to the Service, other users, or third parties. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from such action.

5. API Use

Access to our programmatic API ("API") is subject to these Terms and any additional API-specific documentation we publish. API keys are issued at our sole discretion and may be revoked at any time. You must not share, sell, or sublicense your API key. We may change, limit, throttle, or discontinue the API, or any feature thereof, at any time and without liability to you or any third party.

6. Third-Party Services and Advertising

The Service may display advertisements (e.g., Google AdSense) or incorporate links to third-party websites, content, or services. We do not endorse, control, or assume any responsibility for third-party content, products, or services. Your interactions with third parties — including your submission of personal data to them — are governed solely by their own terms and privacy policies. We expressly disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of or reliance on third-party services or content.

7. Output Accuracy Disclaimer

The Service uses automated processing, including optical character recognition (OCR), file format conversion, and compression algorithms. Output accuracy is not guaranteed. In particular:

  • OCR results may contain errors, omissions, or misrecognised characters;
  • format conversions (e.g., PDF to Word, PDF to PowerPoint) are best-effort and may not preserve all formatting, fonts, images, or embedded objects exactly;
  • compression may degrade visual quality or alter embedded content; and
  • any other tool output may differ from the original in ways we cannot fully control or predict.

You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy and suitability of any output before use. We disclaim all liability for any errors, inaccuracies, or deficiencies in Service output.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL CONTENT, TOOLS, AND FEATURES, IS PROVIDED TO YOU ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT;
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE;
  • WARRANTIES THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED;
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE OUTPUT PRODUCED BY THE SERVICE IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE; AND
  • WARRANTIES RELATING TO THIRD-PARTY CONTENT, SERVICES, OR LINKS ACCESSIBLE THROUGH THE SERVICE.

No oral or written information or advice given by us or our representatives shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • TAKSHA GROUPS, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, AND LICENSORS ("PROTECTED PARTIES") SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, HOWEVER CAUSED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF FILES, LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR GOODWILL, LOSS OF USE, OR ANY OTHER ECONOMIC OR NON-ECONOMIC LOSS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ANY PROTECTED PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES;
  • THE PROTECTED PARTIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF YOUR CONTENT OR DATA, REGARDLESS OF CAUSE;
  • THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE PROTECTED PARTIES FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE — WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE — SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) ONE UNITED STATES DOLLAR (USD $1.00). BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS FREE OF CHARGE, THIS LIMIT IS EFFECTIVELY ZERO (USD $0).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities (for example, for death or personal injury caused by proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or for fraudulent misrepresentation). Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to limit or exclude any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited in your jurisdiction. In such cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Taksha Groups and its owners, operators, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") from and against any and all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, demands, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or related to:

  • Your Content, including any claim that Your Content infringes any third-party right;
  • your use or misuse of the Service;
  • your breach of these Terms or any representation, warranty, or obligation herein; or
  • your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate with us in asserting any available defences.

11. Class Action Waiver

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION, OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING AGAINST THE PROTECTED PARTIES IN ANY FORUM. ANY CLAIM MUST BE BROUGHT SOLELY IN YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and its subsequent amendments, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Subject to mandatory local consumer-protection laws that may apply in your country of residence, any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts situated in India. If any mandatory local law of your country of residence confers additional rights that cannot be waived by contract, nothing in this clause shall operate to limit those rights.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all laws and regulations applicable to you in your jurisdiction.

13. Modifications to Terms and Service

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service. We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time and without liability.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, and without liability to you. Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive, including Sections 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

15. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, network or infrastructure failures, cyberattacks, or failure of third-party service providers.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement and No Waiver

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Taksha Groups regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or negotiations. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. No waiver of any term shall be effective unless made in writing signed by an authorised representative of Taksha Groups.

18. No Agency or Partnership

Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, employment, joint venture, franchise, or partnership relationship between you and Taksha Groups. You have no authority to make any representation or commitment on our behalf.
